2 Week Costa Rica Family Adventure

1 Night San Jose
A base for you to decompress after your flight, regroup and get ready for your upcoming adventures!

2 Nights Eco Lodge - Uvita
Combining spectacular beaches and a national park this is an up-and-coming hot spot.

Primarily a surfers paradise between Dec & April you may see humpback whales. From here you can also venture out on a Mangrove Tour

2 Nights Manuel Antonio National Park
Tropical coastline with beautiful, secluded beaches, lush jungle trails and diverse wildlife.

3 Nights Arenal
The impressive Arenal Volcano looms over the northern highlands of Costa Rica, and is the ideal spot for adventurous types.

Backed by phenomenal scenery, the region offers hiking, mountain biking, white water rafting and windsurfing on Lake Arenal - and you can even abseil down the forest waterfalls.

After this, the best way to relax is by sinking into one of the natural volcanic springs. The Arenal area is also well-known for its diverse wildlife, including two different sloth species: the two-toed sloth and the three-toed sloth.

Embark on a wildlife floating tour and brave the sky tram with zip lines!

2 Nights Tenorio National Park
The Tenorio National Volcano Park is a hiker's paradise, where exhilarating hiking trails wind around thermal geysers, mud pots, and hot springs. The park is home to four peaks and two craters, as well as stunning vistas, volcanic formations, and the incredible Celeste River. It is famously named the 'celestial blue river' because the water is literally dyed bright turquoise and baby blue by a chemical combination of sulphur and calcium carbonate. The isolation of these falls makes it a great choice for a unique experience away from the tourist crowds in a spectacular location.

Here you can go tubing on Celeste River, an adrenaline-fueled adventure down white water rapids.

4 Nights Tamarindo
A laid-back beachy vibe is what you will find here. Fishing, scuba diving, snorkelling, horse riding and a national wildlife refuge.

3 Nights Manuel Antonio National Park
If you're searching for a tropical coastline which has great amenities but also secluded beaches, look no further than a holiday in Manuel Antonio National Park.

With a winning combination of gorgeous sandy beaches, lush jungle trails and diverse wildlife, it's no wonder why Costa Rica's smallest national park has always had strong appeal. Heading into the park, you'll be greeted with the screech of howler monkeys and the squawk of vibrant birdlife.

Follow nature trails which snake beneath the leafy rainforest canopy whilst spotting sloths, coatis and the colourful-billed toucan, before emerging onto the dazzling white shores of Playa Espadilla Sur and Playa Manuel Antonio.

Discover picturesque islets off the coast which jut out from shimmering turquoise water, explore the volcanic formations of the coast's underwater world with a snorkelling expedition or paddle along the coastline in a kayak amidst the area's tangled mangroves.

Sit back on the white sandy beaches to take in the breathtaking Pacific sunset - you might even spot bottle-nosed dolphins and humpback whales if you're lucky.

From here take a Kayak tour in Damas Island, and explore the unique Costa Rican mangrove ecosystem.

3 Nights Monteverde Cloud Forest
The Monteverde Cloud Forest and its panoramic views will stun even the most seasoned traveller.

Trekking into the mists of the forest and over its famous treetop suspension bridges, you will

encounter a magnificent ecosystem which is host to over 400 species of birds and an unbelievable

variety of wildlife. For a real thrill, swing over the rainforest canopy on one of the world's longest

ziplines.

With fishing, scuba diving, snorkelling, horse riding and a national wildlife refuge, there is a whole selection of leisure pursuits to get involved in. Modern cafés and chic restaurants round off this gorgeous spot on the Pacific coast.

5 Nights New York
The Energiser Bunny of cities, New York City consists of five boroughs: upmarket Manhattan, with the sprawling haven of Central Park, towering skyscrapers, the sleekest shops and the financial hub of Wall Street; suburban Staten Island, accessible via a scenic ferry ride past Lady Liberty herself; fast-booming, arty Brooklyn; the melting pot that is Queens, with its enormously diverse range of ethnicities and cultures; and the Bronx, home to the much-revered Yankees.
