How to Plan Your Bucket List Family Holiday

1. Decide what you want to see & do?
   Sit down as a family and write a list of the kind of activities you want to see and do. Is it a wildlife holiday? If so what sort of animals do you want to see? Is it a cultural holiday? What is important for you to see?
2. When to go?
   After you have decided what you want to see and do decide on the time of year you need to do that. For example, if you want to safari in Africa & see the Big 5, timing it with the migration (July to October) is a good idea. Do you want to see Orangutans in Borneo? Again the best months are April - August when the weather is dry. Do you want to see the Northern Lights? Obviously, this needs to be done November - March.
3. Check the kid's ages
   Many adventure holidays & safaris have lower age limits, check that your little ones meet these thresholds and that your kids will get the best out of the experience. I can help advise on this, so get in touch below & I can advise. 
4. Confirm the budget
   Experiences like this give memories that last a literal lifetime. Generally speaking you are looking at around £3,000pp  upwards, but budgets will very much depend on experiences & time of year. 
5. Book early
   I have already had disappointed clients trying to book this summer 2024 adventures, only to find out that availability is too scarce. Flights are released circa 11 months prior, but we can book "out of date range" flights & accommodation. This basically means we can book holidays well into 2025 and in some cases 2026, so if you would like a quote get in touch today. I am here to take the strain and stress out of booking your holiday, whether that be a touring holiday to Vietnam or an adventure safari to Kenya. 

Quite simply, my job is to understand what you guys want out of a holiday, and go off and find it. Once I find it, I will be there as much or as little as you need. 

Telephone/Zoom/In-person Meeting

I do this by having a quick call with you, this usually takes  10/15mins maybe a little more for these bigger holidays. I find out what you all like to do, what is important to you, and what isn't. I then go off and find your holiday. I have over 500 suppliers, so will contact those I believe fit your brief. We can chat on the telephone, via zoom/video call, or if you are in Surrey we can meet "in person". 

I am here to take the overwhelm out of Google, I do this day in, day out, if I don't have an idea already, I will do the research for you and deliver you some ideal itineraries. 

Delivering the brief

I then present you with (via email) an itinerary (or maybe 2 depending on how specific you guys have been). 

Often with these bigger or touring holidays, we use this base outline as a starting point, we can tweak and go back and forwards as many times as we need. 

Tweaking
Sometimes seeing something on paper really helps focus the brain, so it may be that the first itinerary is perfect, or it may be that we need to tweak something, reduce some time, increase some time, add in some tours etc.

Booking
Depending on the tour operator we have used, your holiday can be booked with a deposit (ranges from £99pp to 10%+). 

Booking with me will cost you no extra than booking directly with a tour operator. However, when you book with me, you have me here as much or as little as you need.

I use what's app so am on the end of messages for any quick questions or problems. Unlike the big tour operators, I don't keep usual business hours so I am here when you need me. 

I can check you in, help with any upgrades or queries as they arise and generally manage the booking process from before, during & after travel.
