My favourite Active Family Holiday Ideas

Neilson - Croatia, Sardinia & Greece 

A firm favourite for the active family, with so much included and amazing Kids Clubs (creche from 4 months, kids clubs from 2yrs).

There are so many activities included, from Sailing, Windsurfing, Waterskiing, Paddleboarding, hiking, mountain biking, climbing and loads more. 

There is a Neilson Beach Club for all, even an adults-only one if you want to escape the children. 

Movenpick Resort - Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah 

Maybe not your first thought if you are an active family, but this year-round destination has it all for those wanting adventure and to get off the beach (with an amazing beach there if you want R&R).

A fabulous family resort with Kids & Teen Club, Floating Waterpark, Minigolf & Watersports.

The only area in the UAE to have not only beaches and desert, but also mountains, how about a spot of Mountain Yoga, or a meal at 1484 by Puro and have a meal overlooking the highest peak in the UAE.

As if that isn't fab enough, Ras Al Khaimah is also home to Bear Grylls Explorers Camp, where you can take part in these epic Survival Courses. 

RAK is also home to the longest zip line in the world, which will hurtle you 160km per hour over the desert (head first), or if that sounds a little too exhilarating, you can enjoy a series of shorter ones. 

If that wasn't enough, there is also a sledder toboggan run, where you can reach up to 40km an hour hurtling down the Hajar Mountain range!!

Siyam World Resort - Maldives

They also host football camps & football escapes with the likes of Rio Ferdinand & Michael Owen providing coaching. 

You can "Rent a Moke" for your stay so you can zip around the island in style if you really want to up the activity levels, how about twinning Maldives with Sri Lanka, you can soak up some culture, get in some hikes and see some amazing wildlife, and then zip over to the Maldives for a bit of R&R.
