Yes of course you can just sit on one of the stunning beaches, but if you want to get out and be active, this is the place to go!
Why Mauritius is Great for an Active Family Holiday
- Water sports – Many of the resorts offer water sports included in the price, from Stand-up paddle boarding to kayaking or snorkelling, or even water skiing you can give it a go without breaking the bank!
- Go see the unbelievable wildlife, home to some AWESOME giant tortoises, or take a boat trip along the coast and see the crab-eating macaque monkey, these are just two of the diverse species of animal here.
- Swim with Dolphins in the Wild – Mauritius is one of the few places you can swim with dolphins in the wild. Take a boat trip, find these beautiful creatures, and jump in!
- Zip Lining or Quad Biking – La Vallee des Couleurs offers you the opportunity to zip line along 1.6km above the stunning nature park, there are a series of shorter zip lines culminating in a beautiful line over a waterfall, or if you are feeling really adventurous you can add on the longest zipline at 1.5km!
- Visit the capital – Port Louis, this gorgeous town offering a rich blend of historic & cultural attractions. Steeped in a rich colonial history you will also find a bustling central market and modern waterfront.
